Dra. LIA LEITÃO

Neurologist

Neurology specialist, having completed training internships in the field of neuro-immunology at internationally recognized centers, namely at Cemcat (Centre d'Esclerosi Mútiple de Catalunya) of the Vall d'Hebron Hospital in Barcelona and at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Oxford.

He also complemented his training in the area of translational and clinical research by completing the Portugal Clinical Scholars Research Training, provided by Harvard Medical School in partnership with the Foundation for Science and Technology.

His curriculum includes the publication of several scientific articles and he has presented multiple works in poster format and oral communication at national and international conferences. Currently, he is in charge of the Neurology Department at the Portuguese Institute of the Face, with a special focus on the approach and treatment of headaches and craniofacial pain.
