Dr. JOSÉ COUTINHO

Graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon, with a surgical specialization at the Hospital de Santa Maria.

He has distinguished himself in the treatment of diseases of the salivary glands. He obtained training for diagnosis using ultrasound and sialography and approaches treatments using minimally invasive techniques, through ultrasound-guided and endoscopic methods. He is a member of the European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology.

He also focuses on facial surgery, applying his experience in surgical approaches for salivary duct reconstruction. He is one of the Portuguese surgeons involved in the Faculty of the International Sialendoscopy Society.

He is a guest lecturer in postgraduate courses at the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon in the areas of oral reconstruction and rehabilitation.
