Ricardo Fernandes, has a Master's degree in Dental Medicine, from the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the University of Porto, and his academic career also includes a postgraduate degree in Endodontics, from CESPU (Escola Superior de Tecnologias da Saúde do Tâmega e Sousa), and a Master's degree in Health Services Economics Management, from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto.



He began his professional career as a Dentist, in Arouca, where he is from. He dedicated himself to Endodontics for more than 3 years exclusively, but it was management that inspired him throughout his time in clinical management. He left Dentistry on standby and embraced management as his main project, without ever neglecting basic health training. He also worked in pharmacy management and consultancy, managed groups of pharmacies and coordinated the largest Sterilization Center in the country in the SNS, until he embraced the Instituto Português da Face project, where he currently serves as Director of Operations.
