DR. LIA LEITÃO

NEUROLOGY DOCTOR

Specialized in Neurology, having completed training in the area of neuroimmunology at international reference centres, namely at Cemcat (Center d'Esclerosi Mútiple de Catalunya) at Vall d'Hebron Hospital in Barcelona and at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, of the University of Oxford.

She also complemented her expertise in translational and clinical research with the Portugal Clinical Scholars Research Training, given by Harvard Medical School, in partnership with the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology.

Her curriculum includes the publication of various scientific articles and has numerous works in poster format and oral communication delivered at national and international congresses.

Currently, she is responsible for the Neurology Department of the Portuguese Face Institute, with special focus on the approach and treatment of headaches and craniofacial pain.
